How do I book a tour?

Booking a tour can be done easily online by clicking the

'book now' button at the top of the screen or you can call or email

us and we can lock you in.

How early should I book?

We recommend booking in advance to secure your spot but we accept bookings right up to before the tour dates. Bookings 2/3 months in advance will have a better chance of securing additional activities like whale watching that book up quickly in the summer months.

How do I book whale watching?

When you book your tour, you will be asked if you'd like to add an extra activity such as whale watching. Check the box of the activity you'd like and we will confirm availability with the company, then book you in. If you decide you'd like to book an activity after your tour is booked, just give us a call or send an email and let us know.

Please note that Twofiveo cannot guarantee availability for extra activities as they are run by third-party companies. The earlier you let us know, the better your chances are of getting a spot.

The itinerary of our tour allows time for one extra activity per guest.

How many guests are on a tour?

Our bus has capacity for 12 guests. It's important to us that our group sizes are personal and intimate so you don't feel lost in the crowd.

Do we spend time in Victoria?

Our tour begins and ends in Victoria, BC where we will pick you up from a central city location. Victoria is a vibrant city that we highly recommend you set aside some time for during your visit to the island either before or after the tour. While Victoria is a must-see destination, we haven’t included it on this tour simply because it is a place we believe you can navigate on your own. We’ve reserved time on this tour for the more remote destinations on Vancouver Island.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations will be fully refundable up to 60 days prior to departure dates minus booking fees and a $75 registration fee. A 50% fee applies to cancellations made between 59-30 days prior to departure dates. A 100% fee applies to no shows and cancellations made within 30 days or less from departure dates.

Do I need medical insurance?

We highly recommend getting medical insurance for your trip. We will be spending a lot of time outdoors, walking and hiking which come with an inherent amount of risk. Knowing you are covered should something happen is always a safe bet.

Do I have to be fit?

No! None of our activities require any advanced level of skill although we do recommend you bring a comfortable pair of running/hiking shoes and be prepared to be on your feet for a few hours each day.

What do we eat?

We cook up breakfasts (apart from day one) and one bbq dinner on our third night together. For other meals, we stop in places where there is usually a variety of options so you can customize meals to your taste and budget. We have our favourite places that we may go to as a group but guests are free to opt for something different.

Be sure to let us know of any dietary requirements you have when you book so we can best cater to your needs.

What camping equipment is supplied?

We provide tents, ground sheets, sleeping pads, pillows, and cases. We offer sleeping bag rentals for a fee or you can opt to bring your own. We take care of all the necessities like lights, speaker, bug repellent, a ton of games, etc. and have some spare toques and sweaters if anyone is in need!

Who set's up the camping equipment?

Your guide will help set everything up!

How many people in a tent?

Tents are double occupancy or you can choose to guarantee a tent to yourself for an extra fee. Guests are free to choose their tent buddy or by default we will match up same genders together. Everyone's comfort is paramount to us so please ensure that you are considerate and respectful of the space you are sharing.

Are there toilets/showers at the campsites?

There is a sauna, hot tub, toilets and hot showers at the site where we'll spend our first two nights, and pit toilets where we spend our final night.

Will there be campfires?

Yep! Get out the marshmallows :)

What is the weather like?

The warmest months on the island are generally between the end of June and end of August where temperatures can range between 20°-28° celsius. Temperatures in May, beginning of June and September tend to be cooler. Even during the warmest months of the year evenings can cool off and temperatures drop overnight so bringing clothing that you can layer is recommended.

What if it's raining?

It is very important to us that guests stay comfortable throughout the night which is why we've purchased high quality tents and camping equipment that will keep you dry in any weather.

We will be spending time in a rainforest region so it may rain during part of our time here, even in the summer months. Without the rain, we wouldn't have the lush nature and wildlife we do here! We have rain ponchos to lend out during the day.

Can I charge my phone?

Camping means no charging outlets so if you want to stay in touch with friends and use your phone for photos we recommend bringing a portable charger.

Can I drink alcohol?

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase their own alcohol. Our campsites have strict quiet times from 11:00pm for the first two nights and 10:00pm on our third night.

What if I'm travelling with more than one piece of luggage?

As we have a limited amount of space, we can only allow for one piece of luggage plus a day bag per guest. Most hotels/hostels in Victoria offer luggage storage for guests at a very reasonable price. Please make arrangements to store your extra luggage before we depart if travelling with excess luggage.
